St. Paul, MN, April 15, 2015 — Twin Cities-based Anchor Bank has finalized its purchase of substantially all of the operating assets and deposits of Eden Prairie-based Voyager Bank. The purchase aligns with Anchor’s strategic plan to expand its footprint into the southwest metro, enter new markets, and increase its market share.

The intent to acquire assets of Voyager bank was announced in December 2014, and formally closed on April 14. A full conversion is expected to take place over the weekend of June 6-7, at which time Voyager bank locations will close in order to convert to the Anchor platform. On June 8, branches will reopen to the public under the Anchor name, and customers will have access to the expanded set of products and services, and network of bank locations.
With the completed acquisition, Anchor strengthens its position as one of the largest community banks in Minnesota making it the sixth largest bank in the Twin Cities with $1.5 billion in deposits, and more than $1.8 billion in total assets.

The proposed acquisition coincides with Anchor’s strategy to expand its footprint, enter new markets, and increase its market share.
The addition of Voyager’s four bank locations in Eden Prairie, Mankato, Minnetonka, and Shakopee, allows Anchor to tap into the dynamic market potential of the southwest metro and Mankato community. Anchor has 16 other locations rooted in the Twin Cities, and recently celebrated the grand-opening of its new Wayzata bank location.

Anchor Bank has named Jim Collins as the Director of Commercial and Private Banking, effective May 2014. Collins joined Anchor in 2004 and most recently as the Director of Business Banking. Anchor Bank has named Arleen Sullivan as the Director of Community Banking, effective May 2014. Sullivan has over 26 years of banking experience and has been with Anchor since 2003, most recently in the role of the President, Commercial Banking East Market.
As the Director of Community Banking, Sullivan will be working closely with the Business Banking, Investments, Personal Banking, SBA and Mortgage leaders. Her position will allow for an increase in the attention that Anchor Bank personal and business customers receive, leading to more efficient and effective financial solutions. The goal of this newly created position is to create greater customer satisfaction and stronger customer relationships.
